Most mobile phones are optimized to make it possible to access mobile-friendly browsers. These mobile-friendly browsers do not display some features of the sites which you are viewing especially if the site is an old version. But, you can still access or view the desktop site when your laptop is not available.
This is very easy and it can be done in two ways
- By enabling desktop site for all sites
- Enabling a desktop site for a specific site
By enabling desktop site for all site
To make desktop site view default for all sites follow these steps:
- Step 1: Open the google chrome browser on your phone
- Step 2: Click on the three vertical dots button at the top right corner
- Step 3: scroll down and click settings
- Step 4: scroll down and click site settings
- Step 5: scroll down to the bottom of the menu options and click on the desktop site
- Step 6: click on the desktop site switch to turn it on
Enabling desktop site for a specific site
If you want to enable a desktop site on a specific site follow these steps:
- Step 1: Open the google chrome browser
- Step 2: visit the site you want to view in desktop site mode
- Step 3: click on the three vertical dots menu button at the top right corner
- Step 4: scroll down the menu options and click on the desktop site box
How to enable desktop site on Opera mobile browser
To enable the desktop site on the opera mobile browser, follow these steps:
- Step 1: lunch opera mobile browser on your mobile phone
- Step 2: Click on your profile picture in the bottom right corner
- Step 3: click on the setting gear icon
- Step 4: Scroll down to the content section and click on the default user agent
- Step 5: select desktop
