Motion

 

      Motion is a change of position of a body or object with time

                           Types of motion

There are four types of motion which include

        I.            Vibratory motion

      II.            Translational motion

    III.            Rotational motion

 IV.            Random motion

                        Vibratory motion

  This is a to-and-fro motion of a body at a fixed position. An example of this motion can be found in a simple pendulum.

                              Translational motion

 This involves the movement of a body from one point to another. An example of such a movement is a car travelling from one city to another.

                                Rotational motion

This is a type of motion in which an object or a body moves circularly.
